4 to 5 inches of settled snow and sleet mixture. I shoveled a few feet next to a car. Phooey on that nonsense. I'll let the sunshine do its job. Nice and quiet outdoors. 26 deg F at 07:00.

I refuse to have to yield a snow shovel again anytime for the rest of my life.
Seriously have to agree!!! Living in NY, WI, OH & then MI until we retired to SC in 2015, I could not agree with you more! The first thing we sold before we moved south was the snow blower!! Snow is evil!!!!!!

stress not, above freezing temps are coming. we were below zero for two days. Tuesday at 10 pm it was -9, four hours later it was in the mid thirties. I didn't go anywhere because I hate starting my cars in that stuff.

In Spearfish, SD the temperature rose from -4 at 7:32 a.m. to 45 degrees–a rise of 49 degrees—in just two minutes. A couple of hours later, it plunged from 54 back to -4 degrees–a change of 58 degrees in 27 minutes. In downtown Rapid City, the temperature had warmed to +5 degrees by 9:20 a.m., then it quickly warmed to 54 degrees by 9:40 am—a difference of 49 degrees in 20 minutes.
