Despite rabies shots twice in my life thanks to the buggers, at 15 years old and 30, they're still my favourite yard "pet" !

We spent a lifetime in almost two years without a dog. One summer when we would go to the lake, a vixen would do her rounds down the streets. I would dispatch those tree climbing rats that wanted to destroy our cedar shaked roof. She loved them. Would check quite often to see what was available.
Eventually she would daintily take chicken hearts out of my hand.
The following spring, there was a den about 1/4 mile away from the development. There were some kits playing. It was her. She came over fairly close, sniffed wagged her tail and went back to the den.
We do have pictures of her eating out of my hand.
