Vinyl Top

I want to install a vinyl top on my 67 coronet. I have 2 options. Padded or non padded. Which should I order

Agree. Non-padded on my 67 Coronet. It had a padded one on it when I got it. But not the same padding as a 78.........

I have padded on mine. Simply because I did not know there was a difference. I bought from a member here long ago. He probably didn’t want it! There is no problem with the fit. Longevity? Not sure.

how thick is the padding?

It was just a fuzz on the back side. I don’t think I kept a piece. I’ll look around.

Yup. That's what mine looked like.

My concern with padded would be over time outer vinyl may crack and let moisture in. Your roof is painted I assume so your not like factory, no paint. No padding MO.

That is what I have always seen. What is that vinyl pattern and is rhat called padded?
