Engineered by ARkus DUNtov, around the end of WWII. Originally to give more power to Ford trucks, left in Europe after the end of hostilities. Duntov eventually moved to U.S.A., and joined the engineering staff of G.M. He eventually became known as, " The Father of the Corvette".Four years before the original Chrysler Hemi, ArDun was selling OHV hemi heads to bolt onto the Ford flathead. Power was raised about 60% over the stock flathead.
