I need a few of those. They look great and the aftermarket one I bought a while ago not so great.
That was the test run. Told #1 Son to tweek it a bit and runn'm, looks like he listened. To think his old man had to make a mold and put it in a $200,000 dollar machine to do this stuff 20 years ago!

Can’t remember what those are, but the memory is not pleasant.

I had one of those! Not the girl, but the '56 Golden Hawk. Same colour as that one, too. The deeper I got into it, the rottener it was. I finally had to pull the plug on it, and walk away. I hated to do it. I still think those cars are beautiful! Put one of those beside a '56 Chev, Ford, or Dodge, and tell me which one is the prettiest. If I had it today, with improved skills available, it could have been saved. I had N.O.S. rear fenders, side grills, headlight rings, and pots for it. I had a real nice pair of used front fenders, that I had body-worked and primered. The car came with the standard 352 Packard, and had Packard's Ultramatic 3-speed automatic. I found a standard shift bellhousing and flywheel for it, as well as a factory 2X4 intake. I also had a Ford Top-Loader 4-speed to adapt to it. I managed to break even on it by selling all my parts. The interior in those cars was sharp, especially the engine-turned dash, with round Stewart-Warner gauges. It was the forerunner of personal luxury coupes like later Monte Carlo, Gran Prix, even Cordoba. Thanks for the picture
