I was at a local 1950s Diner car show last night and a out of town guy attending the show struck up a conversation with me. We got onto the subject of looking for a 1969 Coronet in F3, and he told me about this car. He lives near the dealer and said he thought it was worth near the asking price. He admitted he never heard it run, but said it was worth considering.

So, let's get the experts here to give feedback and see if I need to shop plane tickets.

I can look it over on a day trip if you want, or you can get a jury verdict when @HawkRod and the gang do the road trip…they offer nice cars, but their location next to a casino tells you something.

Thanks for the offer, but I want the community here to convince me it's worth a look (plane ride). The under hood looks ratty for a car near 60 grand.

Having said that if I see a price drop I might fly out and drive it.

At current price, I wouldn’t buy a plane ticket. I haven’t liked their GTX pricing.

I see enough in the pics to say don't bother.......... shiney undercoat over rust, some rusty crap, we would like to see what it UNDER the trunk mat , but I bet it aint pretty

I think they are asking about 50K too much, but that's just me

It's 25K overpriced. Lots and lots of incorrect stuff installed if you're looking for a show car. Low mileage and apparently matching#s engine are a plus, but the rust issues are apparent. It's priced at a top shelf, and it is not. It's a good Saturday night cruiser, that's it.

If I wanted a green automatic Runner I wouldn't touch it at $20k honestly. It's easier to list what's right than it is to list whats wrong. I think that one is going to need an AMD catalogue thrown at it.

The car in post #1 isn't worth thinking about. It's a disaster.

How about a Q5 4 speed RR that was originally a 383, but now has a 426 Hemi?

Holy cow! I clicked the page and the dog started barking. Ruff, ruff! Sorry, couldn’t help myself

The ole Classic Auto Mall assumes a 25% less offer on all cars. I’m fairly local and stop in a few times a year. Lot of cars with issues. A friend of mine took a car there recently and told them he wanted $45k out of it and they listed it at $70k.

Sounds like Gateway. They had one of my former GTXs on the market a decade ago. Nice car, priced way too high.

Look, it's not a terrible car, per se.

But it is going to need a lot of body work and other work. For 58K? Forget about it.

The cars pretty rough, for that price I would expect a numbers matching drivetrain. I’d pass, they wouldn’t bring the price down enough to even consider. (In my opinion it’s about 40k overpriced and that would be if it DIDN’T have any more rust).

Still retains it's driveshaft loop

Another factor that enters into this is the OPs location in Arizona. Living there, I would expect better examples that wouldn't require travel expense to inspect, or cross country shipping costs if purchased. As a PA resident, I know there are exceptions to this rule, I've owned a few. But this car doesn't appear to be one of them. One issue of concern, after I looked at the site pictures, was the front fenders are missing the turn signal indicators included in the A01 light package noted on the fender tag.

Front fenders have been replaced. The rears appear original. With no picture of the trunk floor, I concur with the skeptics as to the car's probable condition in the usual trouble spots.

Rusty in your neck of the woods is considered clean by many folks here in the rust belt. After buying my first west coast Mopar in the 90s, I raised my standards considerably.

Green w/green interior, vinyl top, column shifted automatic, rust… for $60k? I’d be looking at a new Mustang GT. And I don’t even want one.

The stamp on the block matches the VIN. Even though I couldn’t care less about that. The rad support number matches.
