What's it Worth 1969 Coronet on eBay

Solid car. I like the A/C and added tach. Fender tag a big plus with matching stuff. Like others said, too bad he didn’t fix the grill and hood before paint. Makes you wonder about the quality of the paint job. Did they just spray over the old paint with no prep? Dog dish caps would look good. $30k offer would be reasonable if the paint is quality. If the paint isn’t quality I’m not sure I would buy it. And what’s with the bumper guards? Was that a thing in 69?

The math doesn’t add up.
Owned 2.5 years. He thinks he is the 3rd owner. The car was last registered in 1987 when he bought it.

Does it really scratch the itch than can only be soothed by a big block?

Looks nice...go for a test drive!
I'd like it to be green with a 440 and working vintage air. It's got disc brakes and seems to be just a good ol'honest driver. Price is reasonable and I'm not getting any younger.

I can swap in vintage air. Fix the dash lights and don't look back.

Cash price enclosed shipping is $1150.

Car had been sitting since 1987.

I can swap in vintage air.
What wrong with the AC that’s in it? Ad says it just needs to be hooked back up and charged from being disconnected for the engine work. Made it sound like it worked before. Might wanna ask the question.

AC has not operated during his ownership. I'm sold on Vintage Air and don't mind doing the swap.

I saw that and I like it.

What adds up to 30K?

That was not even close to a 30K car in 7.

He bought the car 2.5 years ago at auction not running. License plate and registration that came with the car was dated 1987.

He said it was registered to a San Diego address.

Okay my bubble burst.

He says original vinyl top.

Now I'm suspicious.

The top looks to be in great condition.
I'd rather have the original.
Likely been inside most of its life.

He did say in the eBay description it wasn't a show car paint job.
From what I see it's extremely rust free.

I don't like the silver or the bench seat column shift. everyone has different preferences.

I like this look:

This car is a more solid base to start with than the last one you were looking at. Buy it right and make it the way you want....

Inside of the trunk lid and quarters are original paint and the top has you suspect, you've lost me now!

Original tops..

It’s a very solid car. The undercarriage is amazing. The mechanical aspects all seem to be tip top. Already has rebuilt motor with documentation so you know the build. Has front disc conversion. All suspension looks new and replaced. The only suspect is paint. I would go into it expecting to have to repaint and fix a few minor body boo boos and replace the headliner. I would lean towards the vinyl top not having rust issues based on the undercarriage condition, but prepare for replacement and roof work during a repaint. You might be pleasantly surprised and just leave it alone. How far are you from the car to go look at it? $30k seems a little boarderline high if you are going to repaint and run into major rust issues. I would definitely take it for $25k knowing I may have to repaint it. I would think with a good paint job and the headliner repair the car could fetch $40k easy. I sold a 68 Coronet 440 Super Bee Clone, in similar condition but more flashy (ie lots of chromed out motor pieces and custom dash), 2 years ago for $43k and it sold quick.

Does anyone know what a "stage 1" cam is?
I thought that was an LS thing?
