So I happened to stroll over to the Haggerty Insurance website, and discovered they assigned a bill to my account for $2.76. I dont know what for and it was assigned about 2 months after I renewed on my 3 cars. In further reading my insurance was not in effect for any of the 3 cars because of the bill. And surprisingly enough paying the bill did no reinstate my policy from todays date, just from October when I reupped my policy. Not sure how I can be without insurance but still have paid for that period. Phones gonna be busy tomorrow. In the mean time if you have Haggerty might be a good idea to check so you dont fall into this trap.

Zero issues with them taking my correct premium and bonding coverage. Now getting their sub contracted, that then sub contracted again insurer to actually pay damage claims up here in Kanuckastan is another story...

I just checked mine. Paid for the entire year in August 2024. Good to August 2025 for three cars. Have not had any problems with them. But never had a claim.

Try American Modern. Less expensive than Haggerty. Not sure about claims because I never have had to file one.

I used to have them, had some issues with adding and removing some cars, ending up going back to Grundy. No claims either places.

we had Hagerty. I was working 21 turn, so car show were rare. I told them up front that on nice summer days my road runner and the wife's Karman Ghia qould go to work occasionaly, pizza runs. They said NO Problem. The wife picked up the daughter at school one day. She was sitting at the light to leave the school, in the right turn lane. Guy in pickup pulled up next to her in the left turn lane, then decided he wanted to turn right. Mashed the left front of the VW. Hagerty paid the claim then cancelled us for unauthorized use. That I had been upfront about.

I have no issues with Hagerty. I had a claim a couple years ago when my CJ-5 was hit. They were very easy to work with and paid the claim with no problems.

Last bill statement got 6 different quotes for the Bee, I pay for the whole bill for the year. WTFreak is going on. Got it settled but was not happy with all that. :BangHead:

Me too (American Collectors). They wouldn’t insure my completed ERA Cobra because (she said) repaire parts were too difficult and expensive to find. I said really? ERA has been in business 40 years, produced the same basic car the entire time, still manufactures the cars, services spare parts and repair parts for owners - try to find parts for say a 1985 Corvette. Went to American Modern and no problems.

does anyone have American Collectors? I tried Grundy and they were higher cost than Hagerty.
I have American collectors. They are ok. I'm shopping this year around renewal. Just testing waters. You have to do that with insurance, of any kind.
Every year is a bump in price, next thing your 5-6 years into a policy and your paying 50% more than if you switch. That usually rattles the phones and they give me a magic loyal customer discount. If you have had claims don't even waste your time they probably want rid of you to improve the stats.

Did you ever receive a "cancellation notice" ? That is a requirement in many states.

Twenty five years ago American Collector told me I didn't fit their "Collector Profile"... Guess I drive my cars to much... I haven't bothered them since....

No cancellation notice, no notice that there was an outstanding balance. I did have to check a box on their website declaring there was no claim forthcoming before they would reinstate.
