Anyone else struggle with ACC carpet?

Ummm, remove the already glued jute? Then glue it back? Then steam?
Not only am i confused, i don’t own a steamer…..
seems to me if ACC brags about being the best, they need to provide a carpet that fits right

I just removed the jute that was bunched up. Used 3M spray glue and "reformed" using weights.

Glue the jute to the floor, not the carpet. Rent or borrow a steamer.

Just got off the phone with Rock Auto, they talked to ACC, and are sending yet another carpet out….
Maybe by Thanksgiving ill have this machine running!

Call ACC with your order number and request the carpet not be glued to the jute.

Dynomat is vibration deadening. Jute helps with the heat. There's better out there but you're paying for jute with the carpet set.

Watching some old U tube vids of Graveyard Karzs, they were using carpet from a big box, not the small box ACC carpets are stuffed into. Was that a different brand or just ACC carpet in a big box?

How big a box? ECS used to sell carpet sets that were shipped laid flat never folded. Claim was you could never get all the folds and creases out of carpets when they'd been shipped rolled and folded up.
I never saw one of their carpets in its packaging but it must have been a big box!
I was told the trick with carpets is to order the carpet, then as soon as it arrives, unpackage it and lay it flat somewhere. Do not store in its box for any length of time!
The carpets are made to order and therefore when you receive an order, it almost certainly hasn't been in the box for more than a few days. Therefore if you lay it out right away, any distortions from being folded up haven't had time to become permanent.
The last carpet I installed was over 10 years ago, an ACC mass backed carpet for one of my Challengers. I laid it out as soon as it arrived, and it fit like a glove with no flaws. It took a while for my hands to recover from all the cutting and trimming of that thick product. It was worth the pain though!

My box was about 2ft x 2ft x 4ft

My youngest put my Christmas carpet flat on floor for over a week after received; before installation, no creases etc. at all.
