:bday: :bday: to Baron! I hope he got lots of treats.

Gemma went to her monthly post chemo checkup. So far so good! As usual, she got abused by the crew at the vets! LOL!

My first yellow lab had a kennel like that and he loved it so much I had to take it apart to clean it otherwise he would bite at my legs when I tried.

Not a Bad Sense of Smell

"Camelia" (Doberman) and I go for a walk on leash twice a day. Every day we pass by a neighbor's two trash cans out by the street where they are always parked (plastic 55 gallon drums with no lids). Today Camelia pulled on the leash slightly but firmly to lead me over to the barrels. She stood alongside one of them with her nose up in the air. A couple of seconds later, out jumped a cat and it ran away. Cameila tried to take off after it, but my firm grip on the leash prevented the chase.

I gave the command "heel" and tried to continue on our walk. However, Camelia stood firm alongside the same trash barrel and raised her nose high up into the air a second time. Before I could say anything more, a second cat jumped out of the barrel and ran away. Then and only then would Camelia agree to continue on our usual route.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BARON! What a good lookin good boy.

I call it a nub,Riely gets hers going. They cut Thors to short.

my girl Raven had the rottie nub....... Rebel has the standard corso stub, corsos get it cut at the 4th vertebrae

  • Breed Standard:
Many Cane Corso breeders dock tails to meet the breed standard, which calls for the tail to be docked to 1/3 its length or at the 4th vertebra.

    • Functional Protection:
Historically, tail docking was done to reduce the risk of injury to the tail during work, such as hunting or protection duties.
    • Preventing Injury:
Docking can prevent the tail from being caught, mangled, or damaged, especially in working environments.
    • Appearance:
A docked tail can also be seen as improving the dog's overall appearance and preventing problems with the tail's appearance.
