Thanks for posting this. It would be great if everybody who has a stash of engines, posted up information like this, as there are a lot of people looking for their original block. Me included. Alas, this is not mine either.

Yes, you were very clear on the block cast date. The EAD is on the stamp pad on the right side of the block in front of cylinder #2.

This is the first time I am seeing this VIN.

Ooh, ok ill check when I get out of work. Story from guy I bought it from is he bought like 20 engines from a now passed mopar guy. The 383 was out of the mopar guys personal 1970 roadrunner, which he took out because he was getting to the age where he couldn't drive really and he didnt want offers on it, but it still ran. Said it was like 20 years ago or so though Don't even begin to ask why pulling the engine would make a 1970 roadrunner less attractive for the right price, I dont know. I do believe it ran when pulled, bearings are clean and everything, nothing spun, its just CRUSTY from improper storage. Like no evidence of dropped valve when running, but 4 valve bases are sitting in the cylinder rotted out crusty

Okay, sorry for forgetting about it, the numbers are faint but I see a 4 and a 7 on the pad

The way its going with this thing i dont know if itll matter even. Things a rock. Tried BFH, no avail. Next up, cutting rods and lifting crank if my friend with a torch is free
