Thanks I honestly didn't know they started in '67 thought it was '68. In all my years I never saw a '67 optioned with them but have seen a few '68's...They should be there. The 67 buckets have them and they were an option then.

I’ve heard that 67 Chargers could be optioned with headrests. I wonder how that would work.68 GTX bucket seats......
my car was equipped with headrests....... decades ago, I gave my seats to a local guy to reupholster; he wound up being a drug addict, and my seats disappeared.
years later, I acquired a set of buckets from a 68 SS without headrests.
when I redo my seats.......... what do I need, and what's involved to add the headrests?.......![]()
That’s awesome. Are the seat frames that have these any different? Here are some 67 seats and the next are mine with covers I made in my 67 Charger.

The seat frames are the same as the 66 B bodies but with some small modifications. One being the headrest option and then the rear seat backs have an access panel for the seat medallion. The headrest for 67 I believe are narrower than the 68 and later. Did that answer your question? That’s awesome. Are the seat frames that have these any different?
Makes me wonder what "Small" modifications they made to support a headrest. That would be a great option for us to have on our cars. The seat frames are the same as the 66 B bodies but with some small modifications. Here are a couple of pictures of one of my seats. You can see the location for a headrest at the top. PM me if you are interested in adding headrests. I do come across them once in a while or know alternatives by making your own.Makes me wonder what "Small" modifications they made to support a headrest.
