This happened possibly 30 years ago. It was a Saturday in the winter. I was having a morning coffee reading Rick’s question and answers column.
The question was from a fellow asking about his 4 door hard top with buckets and console. He lived in Washington State. Rick replied and said someone made it, because factory never made them. I went down to the basement, pulled out my Canadian Mopar parts book, took pictures and proof of the availability. Explained it was Canadian built.
Within a hour he replied and thanked me for sending the proof , (On a Saturday??) I am still so impressed
I know some bash him , but I think he is the genuine guy.

I have one of those cars. I have seen one other in 45 years of ownership. I also once had a Canadian 1963 Dodge 440 4-door hardtop with Sport Package and factory buckets and shorty glove box between the seats. 440 was the top trim package for 1963 Dodge, as we did not get Polara until 1964.

Thought I sent pictures of ours. Can still do if you would like.

Yes, you did. Thanks. So, that would make 2 others that I know of.

So how is the back door supported?
Can you show pictures of the hinge/pillar arrangement.

Short hinge post with 2 hinges. I added subframe connectors to stiffen body.

When I was in high school, had classmate Sheri. When she turned 16, her dad brought a new 383 auto console red on red 4 door hardtop. She really knew how to get the most out of that car.
The dealer sold the business about the time the industry when down. Gordon also had a farm. He had highway van body trailers. He kept the records all the cars and trucks he sold probably since 1946. He died about 15 years ago. His idiotic clueless son destroyed everything thing. His grandfather started the business in the 1930’s or earlier.
In 1995 when we bought the loaded 68 300 2 dr TNT from him it had 53,000 miles on it. Hardly driven since 1974 when the original owner traded it back in. Gordon gave me the sales receipt and the order sheet.
I could have had quite a few of the more interesting dealer order forms.
I couldn’t get over the enjoyment of my Father taking me to town just before Christmas of 1963 to see a white, red interior, black top Polara bucket console convertible.
This was small town Saskatchewan population maybe 800z
