I recently purchased a 67 GTX, it has fender mounted bullet shaped turn signals. For some reason the wires were disconnected and coiled up and hanging from the underneath side of the fender. I have a wiring diagram from Classic Car Wiring that shows they connect to the front turn lights. The dangling wires have connector ends still on them and I cannot find where they connect to the front turn lights. Thought about just cutting off the connector ends and splicing into the turn signal wire, but wanted to see if anyone knows exactly where the connectors are supposed to be connected before I do so.

should be a similar bullet type connector that comes off the front turn signal lamp harness

Thanks, I have traced the wires from the turn signals back as far as I can, no luck in finding a connector any where in the path. Thought possibly they connected farther up the path someplace.

Diagrams are tipically NOT an EXACT representation to the reality. Just a guide, but is not uncommon they get moved the exact place for splices. Not saying this is the case thought, but…

It's possible that the lighting harness was replaced with a regular 67 B body harness.

I would try and find bullet connectors that fit the turn signal indicator end and run a wire using the new connector right to the turn signal plug out front.
That way you don't modify any existing wiring.

They connect to the fwd lamp harness. Mine has a pigtail on the parking lamp connector (green wire)

This is off a 67 Coronet. Might be similar for a 67 GTX. You can see the little connector extension that splices off the green wire to the fender signal.

SAM69SAT, this really provides clarity for me. I believe I have to acquire the small connecter section that you highlighted. From what I can tell someone prior to me cut the green wire right at the base of the piece where two green wires come out. Thanks so much!

My wiring harnesses are repros purchased from Year One 20+ years ago and they came with the pigtails for the fender turn signals. I have a couple of original wiring harnesses that I can scavenge sections from if you're interested. However, I would consider replacing the entire harness if it's still the original.

Would you happen to have 2 of the pigtails that are circled and highlighted in Sam 69 Sat’ reply in this post trail?
If so, I would be interested in buying them from you.
Thanks

Pretty sure I still have the original harness from Satellite that has the fender turn signal pigtails. I'll pull it out to confirm and let you know.

I sent you a PM with some pics of what I have. Let me know if you're interested.
Copper67sat, sorry for the delay in responding, I am out of state and away from my car. I should be back in 3-5 days, when I can look at my wiring better. But my first reaction is that it doesnt look like the same wiring connectors that my car has. I will be in touch and certainly appreciate you providing the pics. If they would be the same what you be looking at to sell?
Thanks again

No worries. I am willing to sell the whole harness or will consider specific sections that you can splice in. PM for details.
