Questions:
318 Engine: Several items are broke off on my valve covers. Where can I purchase ones like the originals?
In back of the water pump there is a flat metal area before the thermostat housing. Mine has a lot of pits. What is this housing called? Could the pits develop into a problem? If so, what is the solution? (The engine has been rebuilt.)
Do I need a fuel tank for emissions or one with 2 vents? The car was purchased new in Illinois.
Is the fuel sending unit 5/16, 1/2 or 3/8?
I would like to replace the distributor with an original one. Are the remanufactured ones okay to use?
Thanks!

Get an original distributor from member
" halifaxhops ". He is a member here, and is an only Mopar distributor rebuilder, and does excellent work! I have one of his units, and works perfectly!

I do not see anything broken off. You are missing all the plastic plug wire separators. Nice all red rebuild.
Difficult to see in the photos, but the metal tabs that the plastic separators hook on to is rusted away and broke off completely in two areas.

Then you will have to fabricate and weld them as needed or find another set of covers which would be easy.
