Chrysler at Carlisle; Carlisle, PA.; July 10th-13th

Sorry for the poor picture. The light was behind us so it distorted the image. To the right ( my left) is El dubb 440 the Master of metal, the Wizard of welding, the Boss of Bondo, the Prince of Paintwork also known as Mark.
Ahha I did not know that. The Mark and Mark comment before makes sense now. My apologies for my ignorance. Thanks

Hey, that's Greg!
On his left is his brother Mark, on his right is his other brother Mark.

there must be a reason God put Kern and I 3000 miles apart......... cause I'd have a blast hanging out with that guy :drinks:

Rain on the horizon. Radar Doppler on the phone showed a cell south of us…,

Yep, and I drove right into it! When I got to downtown Carlisle it was a downpour. Got to the interstate and the road was dry. Ten minutes from home and it started raining again but it appeared a storm had already passed through. First intersection I come up to they had the road closed do to flooding. Had to detour over to the next town. Traffic was all backed up. Then I came up on a flooded area that the police were letting cars through one lane at a time. I had to drive through a foot of water which I wasn't too keen about. Finally got to the center of that town and head onto the road that heads home. Halfway down that road was another flooded area that had traffic backed up. Had to drive through another foot of water. Finally made it home after a forty five minute detour.

It's always something

Mark, I’d learn so much from you.
I’ve thought for years about how if I won the lottery, I’d pay people to train me in areas where I want to learn. It is guys like El Dubb Mark that would get the call. I do what he does at a much smaller scale and skill level but would love to be better. It would be great to learn from you, man!

I'd like to give a big THANK YOU to the folks who set up the tent and provided us with a great lunch. The "shady" place to hang out was much appreciated. It was nice finally getting to meet some of you folks. I will see you next year. I might even bring my car :)

Cheers.

Hey.. didn’t you WIN something in the raffle ??

I did indeed. The stickers have already found a home. The toolbox is going in the trunk. Thanks again!

Just got back, Had a great time with my 15 yo son. I saw you guys in the tent, but was a bit shy to come say hello. I saw so many amazing things there. The Satellite that was in the Coral was really nice ! I was tempted to offer on it but it was sold by the time we saw it. I can't wait to come back next year, hopefully with my own car on the field :)

Glad you had a great time and say hello next go round.

I agree. There were no formal introductions there, just guys hanging out and introducing themselves casually. No pressure, just people having fun.

Just got back to soupy SC. Again thanks to Hawk, Barry, and especially Pete for the wonderful fixings. Hung out all afternoon till 6 and was a great time. @kevman I was the same way 3 years ago and now have made a bunch of friends. Stop by!

I started a thread in the general discussion group regarding 2026 Carlisle. Didn’t what to pile-on in this discussion, but concerned looking a year out might get lost in the Event forum.

Carlisle 2026 - what do you think?
