Yeah I made it!!! For a while, it was questionable as to whether it would make the trip or not. After one complete 10 mile trouble free local trip to an auto parts store in the next town, we decided the car was ready for the 95 mile drive to Carlisle. I left Thursday morning with a buddy following behind in his 1970 Challenger. Almost imediately, I noticed a slight surging. So twenty minutes into the trip I pulled over to left my buddy know that there might be an issue. But then, the car ran flawlessly until a half mile before the RT 94 exit off RT 15 just twenty miles from Carlisle. The car stumbled and lost enough power that I couldn't keep up with traffic. I pulled over and told my buddy that I would try to limp it to the exit along the shoulder. But then when I started moving, it was running normally agaain, and made it to the Carlisle fairgrounds without any more trouble. Once there a couple buddies came to the rescue. they found it seemed to be dropping various cylinders, but not always the same ones. Ther trouble was diagnosed as the condenser in the distributor. A buddy had a spare one in his glove box. A couple minutes later the repair was complete and the car performed flawlessly the rest of the weekend. I had decided not to switch to elcetronic ignition on this car as I've had more trouble with electronic ignition control boxes going bad on cars that have had that modification. This was a quick easy fix once we knew what it was.I see you made it to Carlisle. Car looks great!
