Took the Plunge EV

I have seen 1 on the Island of Oahu. There is three from what I been told. Probably won't see to many more. The biggest cargo carrier to Hawaii, Matson halted shipping EV'S and Hybrids due the Morning Midas cargo ship that caught on fire and sank in Alaska.

Respectfully, will not say anything negative other than "to each, his own". Not for me. I do wish you well with it, enjoy !

Congrats! Let us know how you like it as time goes on and you get some miles on it. I agree with the post about being leery when it comes to parking it in an attached garage. But then again I won’t park my gas heaps in my garage either.

I believe those have been discontinued now and are being retooled to go back to the Hemi. So it may be a bit of a rarity in the future. Not my cup of tea but hope you enjoy it.

We have an electric in our household too ( not a mopar :( )
Think you will enjoy it very much since you have taken the step to try an electric one
After you drive it a while you will notice the fuel savings
We are coming up to 70 000km on ours and I figure I have already saved $10 000 on gas over what we payed for the electricity I did use

Every Mopar dealership around here has 2 or 3 of the EV Chargers sitting and I have stopped to look at one
There was 3 levels of the car made and R/T was the lowest level
The R/T version is the only version they are not building anymore but they are still making the 2 upper level and much more expensive ones

The local dealerships here have not been trying to make any big price cuts so the cars are just sitting

Below is what one Savannah dealership is advertising for a 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack AWD.

Congrats! What's the interior look like?
The interior is all the same on all models except one and I have never seen that option.
You can see the interior on line, I would post a picture but would not come out to good.

Looks roomy, even for rear passengers.

I would like to drive one. Most likely will not buy a different car, not because I am against electric cars but at my age, I see what I currently own lasting me until I die. My buddy bought a Tesla Plaid and another buddy has a Demon, I have driven both cars both are awesome from a performance point of view. I have made a living from the internal combustion engine all my life, still build a few. but the writing is on the wall. Just like horses, there will always be some muscle cars on the road but kicking and screaming the change is underway. At least Chrysler put some decent sheet metal on their electric car. I am so tired of seeing all the easter eggs going down the roads, you can't even tell what it is without looking at the name plate.

Congratulations.

What is the advertised range on a full charge?
308: actual about 260.
It came with a stage 2 240V charger, I'll be hard wiring it today.
Electric company gave us a $300 credit through the u-
shift program.

There was a dark blue one at the Thursday night kick off show at Carlisle. I was really impressed with the styling and the color and wheels just looked right. I'm not an EV guy but I think once those get hemis installed they will sell a ton of them.

A good friend of mine who has been working as a tech for a local Chrysler dealer for over 30 years sent me a video when he prepped the first one they got with the fake engine sounds. About a month later I took my truck in for inspection and there was an ev Charger in one of his bays. I asked why it was in and he said it was DOA, couldn't figure out why and had to be on a video conference call with Chrysler to help with diagnosing it. That was enough for me to stick with ICE.
