I've got a car buddy who's wondering what his 66 Belvedere 2 commando is worth to put a good price on it. 1966 Plymouth Belvedere 2 command edition. All original. 383 big block with about 73k miles. Not original paint but original color. Runs and drives great.

New chrome on bumpers, New fuel tank, brakes, master cylinder, lines flushed. All new front joints just needs installed. New battery, electric fuel pump, oil pan gasket. Original trunk mat and jack.

There is a pretty nice looking one in North Carolina advertised on Autotrader for $18,000, but it is a 273, not a 383.

Lots of pictures:

That helps thank you.

I liked Kern's estimate a lot more before I saw the imperfection pictures. Headliner and upholstery replacement starts to add up. Really nice car though.

Easy, estimate > one would actually spend, too high when it's listed, lowball to a buyer, and the new owner paid too much. :)

It does look very original which is a good thing and it appears to be in very good condition.
Is it manual steering? (I can't see a pump)

Personally I wouldn't be interested in a bench seat column shift or a yellow car.
Others might love those things.
I don't think you would get 20K for it (could be wrong) but I think 19K would be a better starting point.

I would suggest some cleaner and elbow grease under the hood.
That would help a bunch, first impressions go a long way.

Installing a new (if available), or reinstalling the old, windshield washer reservoir will help too.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, I agree with the suggestions. A good degrease and install of the washer reservoir. Scrub the interior clean the seatbelts. It does look like a manual steering and it is drums all around. It's a sweet car, I met this young man at a car show and it just sits in his garage and has more interest in his dirt bikes.
