Happy to be part of the group! I picked up a 69 Satellite in March. I have been looking for a 69 for years, ever since we sold one 9 years ago. My dad died and it was too painful to keep his car around. This is my dream car and I’m so happy to have it! It is very stock, still has points, manual drum brakes, the original 318, 3 speed on the column. It was originally a 2 BBL, but now it’s a 4 BBL. It has some pretty cool features like an in dash tach and a rear defroster. Everything works too! Previous owner tried to make it a RR clone, hence the 383 hood. I have the original hood, will put it on eventually, but enjoying the car as is.
I am not new to Mopar - I’ve had a 70 Dart for 23 years and also own a 07 Dakota. I am new to B-body though! For instance, I didn’t know that 69 didn’t have lighted marker lights! I thought it was a bulb I had to replace like my 70! I’m excited to learn more about my new car and from all of you!
