First gen Avanti on local CL, somewhat cheap.

Friends shop. This is a one owner car and the two doors are pretty much the only totally original parts. He told me the drivers door had two big door dings that were done by an old woman when it was less than a year old. The engine bay is painted a somewhat root beer color. Metal was welded onto the door edging to get a perfect gap with all the new parts. He's over a year out with jobs, and he put mine in as a filler job for October. Mine will be there for about a month. He's about two miles from my house. Texted me yesterday, all parts are due to show up in a week or two. Most of the work on this car is being taught by him to an early 20s young lady. The guy you can see in the doorway is his fabricator. He worked for Jerry Bickel for over 20 years till he past away in 2023. Bickel left him two of his prized pieces from his collection and they were very close, obviously.

The 1951 Pontiac 8 Chieftain Streamliner Sedan Delivery is a rare, two-door utility vehicle with only about 1,800 produced. It features a 268 ci straight-eight engine.

Tom
Is that AI? It's from the 'liketomodifycars' facebook page, it looks like it has four doors, and the real 1951 Pontiac Streamliner looked like this:

And what's your project?

And what's your project?
Starting with a Pro G front kit, and a few other things I'm not dealing with myself. The curb tweaked the already modified K member. It won't stop flexing and the bolt on unisteer for it was discontinued for a reason, my turn in the pickle barrel. While this new unit is a bolt on, the holes for the thru bolts on the frame will be used to plug weld it and then weld it home, no crush tubes. I'll look at the back half next year, new center section, springs, new coil over shocks and disc brake conversion. While I appreciate him doing this for me, I want my car back to use it, not sitting there waiting as a fill in. We'll see........
