I did the exact same thing to all my cans!
 
That's the kind I use and their replacement spouts are great.

I'm not too keen on the battery powered pump. Even the drill powered pump gives me the willies. Lots of people use them. Sparks and gas :rolleyes:
Electric drill yes that would be a hazard. The pump is run by 2 D-cell batteries and 30" long are at the other end. Takes about 2 minutes to empty a 5 gal can.
