Ok so I want to get a little creative and wacky. Look away purists. You won’t like this thread.

So my valance is pretty trashed. It’s got holes, rust, dented in bad, you name it. It needs replacing OR something magical created for it.

Could I buy a valance at AMD? Sure. But that’s boring. Just spitballing ideas if they’ve ever been tried or exist. What if there was more done with these areas?

Thinking out of the box. My initial thought was fabricate a shadowbox with backlighting and rear facing(or front) laser jet plates of my racing logo.

Another idea was run the exhaust tips through? Maybe a radical exhaust tip situation? It is a full exhaust however my hesitation with this idea is at some it definitely won’t be. This is a full race car.

Would love ideas. I fabricate steel and want to imprint some of my metal work skills on the car. Just buying a new valance is probably what I’ll do…but it seems boring.

If I have it right, the AMD panel includes the valance and up behind the bumper....

The valance corners are separate. If you can shape sheet metal, I'd just make my own valance if I were you. You could also cut yours out, shape it how you want then weld it back in.

I would go factory, that azz is sweet. JMO

I would put cutouts in for the exhaust to poke through. Could do a little diffuser style too but not obnoxiously finned.

Combo a Charger unit with an RT Challenger? Gain the rectangle tips?

I always liked the Gen 3 charger exits with the machine gun tips and the E body tips and exits. Junker r up made some side exits that could be made into rear exits.

My car was "caressed" by my daughter, while a roller. it made almost symmetrical bends to the valance. When we redid the exhaust I used the bends as exit reference. So I've left the bends and I will perfect the look if I ever paint it again.

Anyone that doesn't like it can hand me $50k and fix it

Here is one for you....
How do YOU pronounce the word "Valance" ?

I always said Vaa-lenss.
I've seen guys like Freiberger and sometimes even Steve Dulcich pronounce it VAY-lenss.

Cambridge says......

I am vindicated.

Who was the man that shot Liberty Valance?

Get rid of the bumperettes and cleanup the bumper like these? Two different valances below, but the top one is nice and clean/simple.

Just suggestions. It's really difficult to improve over the original.

You don't need backup lights do you? :)

Wow I do like that first photo a lot. Clean. Interesting

Hey I like that no bumperettes look I believe I will do that. Also I welded/filled the joints on the 90 degree bend valance ends, that looks better too.
