I was wondering if anyone has used OER body panels on your build. AMD just raised all their prices. I was wondering about quality and fit of the OER panels. Any feedback would be great, thanks

I was just looking at a 69 charger rear quarter from amd yesterday they are 629.00 saw this thread never heard of an OER panel. I looked them up, they are 629.00 and made by AMD. those are full quarters, maybe the partials are different, just wondering if you are comparing apples to apples or if there is a price difference on different metal or the area you are ordering from?

if OER is sourcing sheet metal from AMD, place your order before they raise their prices as AMD did.

Find a local dealer in your area they can give you a better deal. Parts are a lot cheaper for a dealer.

OER are made for Jegs and a few days ago they were only $430 each for a full quarter

I was wondering, thanks for the reply. I did a 68 about 10 years ago ordered both full rear quarters from Stevens, and picked them up at Mopar Nationals in Hebron, Ohio, saved alot in shipping costs and I got to look at them before I bought them, they were AMD. I ended up getting a front drivers fender for the car also and ordered it from Jegs, It was cheaper than anywhere else. I got the fender shipped, when it arrived it was damaged pretty bad on the top body line, beyond a resonable repair. I sent it back, took three months to get the replacement. Well finally got it threw it on and proceeded to body work, lined up the fender on top and bottom didn't really look at it close, shot it with some 2k primer and started body work, if you prime it you own it. well after that a closer look at all the lines on the car, the center line on the door line up in the middle of the fender was about 5/8" lower on the new fender, a hammer and dolly plus about 4 hours it was massaged up into position, plus the top seam was a little thicker than the other side so same dolly treatment happened. The quarters I got in Hebron were nearly perfect. Not saying that Jegs sell seconds but the fender I got was at least that. That was an AMD panel also. So its not always about saving a few hundred in the beginning. I would look at them in person if possible, it may save you alot of time. I've heard good and bad about AMD, and have experienced it. But at least they still make these parts. I will be assisting a friend on a 69 charger it needs the usual quarter trunk pan etc. so going to recommend the same to him. Stevens is in Georgia I believe. Good luck with your project.

Investigate to see if any of the car shows in your area, or even out of it to a point, will have any of the sheetmetal vendors there. That way you won't get beat up with the shipping costs and can visually inspect the items for obvious damage. You'll still have to deal with manufacturing "quality" like Don Selleck pointed out which is not new on non oe metal.
