Praying for just a little wind. Hey, have a great time at Norwalk! Say hi to dvw(Doug), met up with him couple years ago at Quaker.

No need to put in apologies for not being online all day ..... best of luck with the competition.

Show us some targets if you can. Do you use one bullseye for each separate shot?

Outer circle is 1”,20minutes for 25shots(including any sighters)100 points per shot. 16yo grandson beat uncle&&grandpa(darn it)! Unlike almost any other target, this is scored on worst edge. Typical ‘unlimited’ .22 is about $4k, not including riflescope. Shot at 50yds. Scope power usually around 40-50 power. 16 unlimited shooters there today, grandson got 7th. Very proud of him.

This is American rimfire association. As an aside, Don kowalsky shoots this in the Carolinas & Virginia, builds some of the engines for ‘Street outlaws’..

The small town I grew up in had a rifle club in the basement of the city library. We shot single shot .22 rifle with peep sights. It was my favorite night of the week.

I was on my high school rifle team. Shot bolt action .22s with peep sights, targets at 50 ft., either 3 or 4 positions depending on the tournament. The range was in the basement of the school, and we competed against other local schools as well as participated in state and national tournaments. I earned my varsity letter sophomore year by placing well enough to shoot on our top team in a regional tournament. I missed going to the national tournament by a couple of points. I really enjoyed it and wish I had continued competing, but I didn't have the $ for my own equipment and other priorities took over.

Congrats on your results and passing it along to the next generation.
