Because people know 'em and love 'em. What else are you going to build? I'd imagine the list of cars that are worth doing big dollar builds on is short. Throw the same money into a 71-74 Charger and you'll never see it again.

It's a 69 1/2 Sixpack scoop on a 68 Charger. No Chargers came with scoops other than the few air grabber cars.

I'm surprised they got a HEMI under the hood of a 68-70 without a scoop. I couldn't close the flat hood of my 72 with an Edelbrock PerformRPM intake and a normal size air filter. I had to run a baby-size filter.
