I agree, there are estimates of a life span but again, these are not absolutes.

Anecdotal information only, based on small sample size, but when I drove these things as transportation, the PA weather and road salt ate the cars up long before the factory electrical components failed.

I agree, it claims "Made by an original Mopar / Chrysler supplier" so even if thats true doesn't mean its exactly the same as stock. I just impulse bought it so we will see how it goes.

Yep, that’s what it is. But like I said, I’ve bought a few things from Rick, and idk where he’s getting his parts or what he’s doing , but they’re affordable, or cheap if you want , but they work

Idk where he gets his stuff , but it seems fine , I have one on my car and I didn’t know I was suppose to count starts, but it’s had quite a few and it’s fine

I presume ' battery amperage' refers to the amps drawn by the starter motor, which is several hundred amps.

The statement is completely WRONG & misleading. The sol on the starter switches the heavy motor current, NOT the starter relay. The starter relay only switches the sol current, 60 amp max with a production starter & closer to 30 amp with a mini starter.

The relay shown in post #14 has been on my car for many years & is driven weekly.

I don’t think several hundred amps but I think something in between 100 and 150 depending on engine CR?

Dunno, just thinking out loud. I don’t have the numbers on hands. And I have been attacked for that speculation quite ago LOL.
