Where exactly would I be looking on this for a part number? Would like to know exactly what I have before I list it.

Looks like a factory console mounted tachometer. 66-67 I'm sure, maybe a couple of more years, but 66-67 is all I have seen them in. The 4-speed top plate seems to be later than 67, maybe even a C body piece. Part number??? What is the number of wires coming out of the tachometer? 3 or 4? Part number was usually stamped in black ink on the rear of it.

Does it have the tuna can mounted on the console somewhere? Factory tach can’t run without one.

How many wires and what colors.

The plate is a 1969-1970

Jerry's right, could be an earlier C body.

I appreciate everyone’s info. Later today I will unmount it and get some better pictures.

68 accs catalog (69 shows the same)

This is awesome. I pulled 4 different gauge clusters out of this parts hoard and only one had the clock. The one I got earlier and sold was with the roadrunner on it. Holy option sheet. This stuff has been tucked away for the longest time and I really want to get it back out into circulation. I’m not great at B body stuff for sure.

This was buried under a pile of clothes and not attached to anything. Had a couple Beep Beep horn buttons and horns with it.

Pics of part number for plate attached. Additional pics of tach and wire colors. Looks like plate is notched for the tach from the factory?

1966 tachometer. It needs a sending unit (tuna can ask described by someone) to operate. Condition looks good.

Don't unmount it, nothing to see under there.

The tuna can is gold, larger than a real tuna can with a terminal strip on top and screws to connect wires to it. It has 2 tabs for mounting.

The woodgrain top looks like 69-70 B body. It has basically straight grain in it. The early C body woodgrain is a different semi swirled pattern.

Thank you. Me no touch. I’ll look for the can.
