Where did you and your car go today

5th Annual Southern Plains MopAAR Fest, Oct 3-4, 2025 in Bristow, Oklahoma. Drove the 23 Challenger. Had lunch at the world famous Butcher's BBQ in Wellston on the way home.

Drove it to the gas station & back after having to replace the gas tank, sender unit & have the carb rebuilt. Got several beeps and thumbs ups. Still has the original exhaust, although there is a hole in the muffler. Seems funny to drive an old Mopar that's so quiet.

I pulled off the windshield moldings earlier in the week & cleaned them up. Today, I gooped up the windshield gasket with some butyl, which should take care of the leaks which had been crudely "repaired"..

With the new tires on............

They’re all shaped like refrigerators, and come in the same color as them too. They’re no longer cars , they’re appliances.

Grabbed my brother for a ride in the charger to check our one room country school restoration. New siding is almost finished! 5 generations of my family got their education at this school..since 1879.

I was in the mood for a drive to Sonoma. I did eventually get there- accidents, road work all over the place, Highway 121 CLOSED & red lights.
4hrs 20mins in the car & round trip was 84 miles...
Normally I would have perceived this as unbearable but, it didn't much bother me as I was in the Charger (My happy place).
I saw several 'classics' out & about & enjoyed the nice weather this afternoon.

Wen to the Beaver Dam amphitheater saw the Band Feel, Drake White, and Blackberry Smoke. Concert was great, to outdoor venue is amazing not a bad seat in the place.

Weather was really nice, about 11 the dew started to settle and it got chilly. My crew was ready to go at that point and that was fine, we had a 50 mile drive back to the hotel.
