I did look at the "cars for sale" forum and did not find anything in the past year other than a complete project which I am not interested in. What I am looking for is a decent driver that has the original bulge hood, no rust, not red, not 4 speed, and not hemi (don't want to pay that kind of money). As for power plant, ideally, I would be happy with the original 383 also in decent shape. I have always wanted a 68 Super bee, and I am not getting any younger, so now is the time. I am not all wound up about getting the car. I am willing to wait to get what I want for a reasonable price, and if it does not happen, I am ok with that too. I would prefer to buy from someone here on the forum if at all possible. I would trust that way more than some dealer or random person. If anyone who reads this is from Virginia (that is where the car is) would like to have a look and see if you might know this car, please see the link For Sale: 1968 Dodge Super Bee in Cadillac, Michigan Apparently the owner is female and the husbands name is Frank. The pictures are not very good, but please feel free to comment on what you see. The car is on consignment with www.classiccardeals.com and the link to the car on their site is Classic Car Deals Consignment Dealership

Again, I hope someone here has one for sale in reasonable condition for a reasonable price. I did read the "what's it worth" thread where Mikey was looking for a 1969 Bee, and all the responses were super helpful. If you read this Mikey, I know you bought a car, so how are things now that you have had the car for a while??? Congratulations by the way!!! I will check back for responses to this thread!

68 Coronet anything is my favorite year. My Father bought a R/T new. They have the look. Best wishes and I hope you find the car of your dreams !

Well, obviously I agree with you! They do have the look! The one I was looking at and posted the link to sold the day I called about it. Back to square 1 :-(

I have not. I will look in to it. I am not sure auction is the way I want to go, but I will check it out. Thanks for the suggestion!

I just spoke with a guy named Brad from Signature Auto Gallery Home He is the owner and he was extremely accommodating. When I initially called him, he was in a noisy place and asked if he could return my call in 30 minutes to an hour which he did. He took notes on what I am looking for and promised to get back to me later today or tomorrow. He actually found a couple of cars while I was talking to him, but they did not fit the bill for me. One was out of Canada and it had a scoop on the hood instead of the bulge, so no. The other one was in a museum and likely outside my price range, but he is going to check it for me. Apparently he manages car collections for clients, so he knows about cars that actually never hit the market. If no one comes forward here on the forum, this may be my next best bet. This is his contact info in case anyone is interested in his services. Did I mention that he sells too?

Shame you didn’t get to see that one in Virginia, it looked perfect for your wishes. 68 Bees are a pretty hard find, you don’t see too many 68’s. Hope you find one that fits the bill!

So true! About the time you find one, it is gone. Like I said, I am not in a huge hurry, and it doesn't work out, so be it. I am hoping by finding Brad who has some inside access to these client collections, my chances will improve. I really really hope someone on the forum may decide to sell one, but I can understand not wanting to do that. We will just have to see how it goes. As for the car in Virginia, it was definitely a price I could live with, I just wish I had found it a couple of weeks earlier so I could find out what needed "finishing" and see if I was up for that. I am just looking for a decent driver, not a show car or museum piece.

I hate to discourage you, Bart, but I have been looking for a 68 or 69 Super Bee for over 20 years. I could list all the reasons why I still don't have one, but the top two are funds and location. There's quite a bit of $55,000 super bees out there that need another $10,000 to make them a good car.

I'm starting to finally learn that B Body's are a rich man's hobby and I need to train myself to like C Bodys, or go over to the other side and enjoy Mustangs..................
