66 Plymouth HP2

I look it your massages 70,000 +

Only 11 units of the 1966 Plymouth HP2 426 HEMI were produced. This model was part of Plymouth's performance lineup and is highly sought after by collectors today due to its rarity and powerful engine. 11 Belvedere 2 cars 42 Satellitec
Okay, I'd like to see actual fact of where you got that. The best I've ever found was 49 to 53 cars total production prior to Christmas across the model levels. They then carried on to produce over 800 more 4 speed and automatic Hemi powered cars in '66. As I noted, nobody values the HP2's higher than all the other '66 Hemi production. Unfortunate... but I do know what mines worth on the open market.

1966 Plymouth Satellite

I'd love if this statement is true.. LOL "Only 5 Satellite HP2 4-speeds are known left to exist"

Only 53 hemi cars ( Plymouths ) produced from late Aug 1965 thru end of December 1965 ?

I would like to see the documents to support that figure

Looks like the for sale ad is gone.
I'm guessing he didn't like anyone calling out is arrogance. I didn't say anything but started to when he first posted his ad. He acted like no one here knew anything about these cars or had the money to buy one. Had a guy tell me one time when I was looking at his 66 Mudstain Fastback that I didn't have the money to buy it. This was back in the mid 70's when I had a rally gauge pack for a 66 and he came out to look at it. He didn't recognize me from that previous encounter but after trying to see if it worked 'using' the FB that I had, he produced sparks. That's when I told him to get out of my car and if he wanted the gauge/clock RP to buy it because he couldn't afford my car if he caught it on fire and burned it down. That's when he realize who he was talking to. He bought the RP gauge pack and left and never saw his arrogant *** again. Hope this guy with the HP2 doesn't show up again to tell you the truth....

Asking the money he wanted for a car non-running and god knows what else needed to be fixed. He read a magazine where the author pumped up the value. $38k for that car, what do you think.

Car needed rust repair, the engine assembled, unknown condition of rest of running gear. Looked like the headliner was hanging down.

I never did see any good detail pictures of the interior, engine/transmission/diff date codes, under-hood and chassis. How is anyone to judge what level of work and cost will be necessary to get it on the road again? Considering some of these cars with a few warts but are cosmetically and mechanically sound, are having a hard time fetching $50k lately, surely he wasn’t looking for $70,000 for this car - is that right, $70k?

It’s unfortunate that 66 & 67 Hemi cars don’t fetch the kind of money that 68-71 Hemi cars bring. I had no plans to sell mine, but a guy came out of the blue and made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. Looking at the 66 that Mr. Attitude was selling, I figure that you’d have to put 60-70 grand into it to bring it up to decent standards, and at that point, you’d have far more into it than it was worth.

If it was a 68-70 Hemi Charger, that asking price in a car in that condition would be a deal, but it’s too high for a 66. The HP2 emblems just shows that it’s an early built car and adds nothing to the value and most people don’t even know what it means. In reality, it’s meaning is kind of goofy, but it is unique.

I didn’t catch he was in Canada so that price is less than outrageous and more just way to high for the unknowns and work that would have to be put into it. Has anyone even seen the VIN tag or trim tag?

Saw that ad.. Got to love when it's literally still on the trailer and up for sale with in minutes of buying from the previous owner...

It's interested to read all the BS. Never been in Canada maybe next year. One person back in the 70 he asked my to leave while buying Ford parts I think he live in Texas I live in Ca for 55 year Street race with friend 70s. Actually selling my first 67 Hemi R/T to a member. If the member did not like price move on. Perhaps I do not like posting picture on websites you give the right to them to use them. The add sad for more photo massage me and prices are negotiable. Its just cool to one the first 50 street hemi car with being move 10,000 built. For $3500.00 to $4000.00 the car will be back on the street. Look at the name of the member voicing a opinion gold member an one staff member.
