WTB I am in the beginning stage of looking for a 1968 Superbee to purchase.

Those pictures on the Cadillac, Michigan website are horrible.

The ones from the seller's craigslist ad are much better, but there are only three of them.
$30,000

1968 Dodge Super Bee for sale by owner - Kearneysville, WV - craigslist

Oh they are out there.....Just my bank account can't handle it :(
But there is hope :praying:
I hear you on the bank account, but at this stage of life, I am willing to dip in to the retirement fund. Why leave it all to others when I die if I can enjoy some of it now!!!

Most (but not all) of those big car sales crawler sites say how long ago the ad was posted.
Lots are 2, 3, 4 years ago.
Also, the links to the ads themselves usually have a "sold" overlay if they are sold.
That Cadillac, MI site does not even have links.
Apparently it doesn't have sold indicators, either.
That's another strike.

Ok, I created an account and got registered to bid on Bring a Trailer. Now just waiting for that '68 Superbee to get posted. As long as I am writing this post, is it Superbee or Super Bee????

After following the GTX market on BAT, it seems to be reasonably good at producing fair pricing relative to condition of cars. A fellow Mopar guy in my area put his '68 Hemi GTX on there a few years ago. I had seen the car in person, and knew its history. The selling price was a good deal for both parties.

Thanks for the information! It helps me to be a bit more at ease with this auction process.

Thanks for the lead on this one. I have seen it before and passed by as I am looking for the Super Bee, automatic, non Hemi. Was it stock for the RT to have the bumblebee stripe?

Thanks for the lead, but "no Hemi" was one of my don't wants precisely because I do not want to pay the Hemi price.
I owned a numbers matching Hemi GTX, and a numbers matching factory red 4 speed 440 GTX. I sold both of them prior to retiring because I didn't want that much money tied up in what I considered a low performing asset. I think you are wise to stick to a base engine automatic car. Also, more chance of finding a decent one that isn't a full nut and bolt restored trailer queen.

I remember when my Dad picked up his 68 Coronet R/T. There were 6 Super Bee's lined up out front of the dealership's front door.
A few months later he traded in my sisters Opal Kadett for a Coronet 500. Good times. Thanks for the memories !!
