Distributor part number 3755157 was originally used in 1973 440 engines. In 1973 and later, the magnetic pickup coil assembly and pickup plate was riveted together and serviced together as part number 3656738.

Pickup part number 3656025 was used with the separate plate, part number 3656023, in 1972 engines and the late 1971 340 application.

Pickup part number 3656025 can be used in distributor part number 3755157 when attached to the pickup plate. The attachment point is also the adjustment pivot.

Pickup part number 3656025 is also the same as Direct Connection P4007985 used for the P3690200 and P3690201 distributors.

I was unsure as the NOS distributor i purchased as you can see it has no pickup but has the plate so hence why i asked if this is the correct pickup. i think someone has taken the pickup off. so thank you for the answer good to know that pickup will work
