My ‘67 Belvedere II was ordered by the original owner at Men-Guer Chrysler Plymouth in Struthers, Ohio. Struthers is very close to where my mom and aunt grew up. I had Googled the address of the dealership and found that the building is still there. It is an independent repair shop now. Last week I was in Ohio for a family visit and decided to drive by there. Here are some pics. The building is unremarkable, but it’s still cool that it’s there. I asked my uncle if he remembered the dealership and he said yes.

That had to be a pretty neat moment making that connection.
Yeah, it was pretty cool. If it had been a weekday when they were open, I might have gone in and talked to the people working there to see if anyone had any information, but it was on Saturday and they were closed.

Next time I’m out that way, I’m going to check out the site of Sunset Dragstrip in Mercer PA where my car was run back in the 60s. I didn’t have time this trip.

that’s really cool…it’s interesting piece together history like that and go back. I’ve tracked down the old Plomb Tool factory building in Los Angeles. It’s not a remarkable building either but going back and seeing where something important was is pretty neat.
