Got invited to a BBQ today by a couple Pontiac guys... Most early Trans Ams I've ever seen in one place... Including the ones in the shop there were 32 Trans Ams... Not counting the 11 project cars..

Yes. I am.

I have a buddy with 74 SD Trans Am. Not a 4 gear but still the last of the muscle cars. Buccaneer red with black interior.
Oh ya. It was originally bought by a member of the Guess Who! I think it may have been Randy Bachman. My buddy’s father bought it from him way back when and it has been a regret to this day. Still wants it back.

I am trying to round up a 66 Beaumont SD right now.

Edit: I think was Bachman Turner Overdrive and Fred Turner still wants it back!

I like the Pontiacs. Great looking cars and the Firebirds were great handling too. I’ve owned three. 1972 base model, a 78 Trans Am and 1980 Trans Am. The 1980 model was a sacrilege with a pathetic 301 that made half the power that a Super Duty car did 7 years prior.

Another Bachman-Turner Overdrive member who liked Firebirds was Blair Thornton, who had one of the rare (only eight made) 1969 Trans-Am convertibles.
