As stated,.... the gas gauge only reads 1/2 tank when full. It has always done this since I bought the car (67 Coronet Coronet 440) 3 years ago. It is all original. Dash, Gas tank etc... It does go down as I use the gas. Any quick easy fixes to this?

Sorry if you guys have answered this question a thousand times.

It may be the original gas tank, but I would bet the sending unit has been replaced at some point. The other seniaro is that if it's the original sending unit, it needs to be rebuilt.

Yeah, it has. You are the second person in the past few days with a similar problem.
Some sticklers on the forum might "advise" you to do a search before posting a question since many of the things that new owners encounter has been dealt with many years ago by several other people.
This is one of those issues but hey....I'll chime in anyway because I have to make up for some smart *** stuff I've done over the years.
First, it is common for some people to claim "All original" when they simply don't know the history of the car from day one. 58 years is a long time for a car to be around and some parts may look worn now but are maybe 30 years old. The gas tank and sending unit may apply here.
There are four things that first come to mind in the case of your car.
1) Faulty sending unit.
2) Reproduction sending unit that while functional, is still nowhere near accurate.
3) Slight pinhole in the float, not allowing it to rise fully.
4) The float arm has the wrong shape to it.
If this problem is a recent development, I'd be thinking #s 1 and 3.
Cheers...
Oh, make sure to COME BACK and report what you found. This helps members that may later do a search and find this topic. It is annoying to offer help to people that don't respond with the final fix.
