Are they going to ticket Harley's? No? Than they can FO... Yeah, I know, "Loud Pipes Save Lives"... But you never hear them when they are behind you, you hear them when they blast past you riding like ********... So, when you are no longer able to avoid them you hear them... How does that save lives? What it does is wake you up at 2 AM when the drunk idiot biker roars through the neighborhood at WOT...

There was a lot of chatter here a year or so ago for cars getting tickets for being loud or having a mod that makes them louder. There were reports that jerky cops, or just ignorant ones, would pull over loud stock cars and accuse them of being modified.
It did make me nervous driving my 2019 scat pack around (no longer have it), bone stock but the loudest in the fleet.

I am with you 100% on that.

And Harley's have no harmonics like a V8 does. They sound like an old Hit and Miss.

IDK, My Super Bee used to idle like two or three harleys running.

Harleys are like 2 cylinders out of a radial aircraft engine. One is a fork and they share the same crank pin. They don't fire 180° opposite like most 2 cylinder engines..boom boom..................boom boom..............boom boom.........

In Aiken SC they have a $1087 loud muffler fine.

Police here have always had the choice to issue a ticket, the violation was "unnecessary noise" then in the details in would state, loud exhaust or squeal tires. I had my share but they were only $28 back in the day! The last time this reared it's head was about 10yrs. ago, my son got pulled over in his Big Block Blazer. no summons issued, but the cop threatened to pull the plates if he saw the truck in town again! So we put a 6-71 on top to make sure he got his moneys worth!
told him not to use colborne st. near the hospital again or you'll be calling me for the trailer!
