I'm having the exact same problem on 66 Satellite. My concern is the variance on the pedal assembly. The flare measures 2 1/2" and the pedal assembly is 2 1/4". What did you have to do? really like to know.
I've tried several ways to get in touch with DrDiff with no luck.
Hey Don,
I have a 66 Satellite, like the rear set up. What size rim and tire did you use for the front. I used a rim with
a 4 1/2" bs off a 70 AAR Cuda for a mock up. This is just to much bs for the front. To close to the upper a arm.
My stock 6 in rims have a 3 1/2 bs.
Is there anything out there (reducer, bushing) that will fit onto a 15" steel rim that will accept a 14" size hub cap? I have some 14" stock 1968 stock Satellite two piece caps never used.
But I have to convert to a 15" wheel for my 66 Satellite.
Just installed some torsion bars from Firm Feel for a 1966 Satellite.
Stock bars are 41 1/8" long
Firm Feel bars 40 7/8" long
I have a 1/2" gap from the end of the bars to the clip at the frame mount
when completely flush installed into the lower A arm.
The bars slide with no load, when I put a...
That means that the shock will always hold the weight of the entire suspension while off the ground. I just have the axle housing in right now. Axles and 3rd member will create even more weight. Thought this would just destroy the shock. I always thought the shock was not to support the the...
Removed my stock leaf springs 5 leaf off 1966 Satellite. Installed new springs that are 6 leaf driver side and 7 leaf passenger side. My old shocks due fit with the extended length to the shock plate with the added leafs. But these old shocks
( Montgomery Ward ) are of course toast
They measure...
I need to replace my after market funky shackles with some stock HD shackles for a 440. Possible U bolts and complete parking brake line from the junction to the passenger side, J hook for the fuel tank strap.
This transmission has been on the shelf for years and it's local.
Asking $400.00 with torque converter/flywheel.
Probably pick it up today.
Great information on the 727 transmissions.
