Tide is one I react to. Along with Dial, Lava and Ivory (the worst).

Eureka! Found the problem. I'm highly allergic to certain soaps. The wife recently switched brands and the nails have almost completely recovered, and no more irritation along the nail bed.

This is Tripper... We've had him now for a number of years.. Couldn't tell by looking, they're same mix. Owned a number of faithful companions over my 70 years. Trip reins at the top.

Thanks for the clarification. Old brains can still soak up a few things. Just knew there were options out there that are better than nylon.

Get you a chunk of Delrin Acetal. Much more machineable. Stronger and less previous to heat and chemicals. (the white plastic type cutting boards you'll find at Walmart are delrin). Tough stuff.
