What a nightmare to paint it. Wrapped the whole car inside and out. Sanded the entire thing down with 320 grit. Epoxy primer then black base and satin clear.
Had the window net made and figured out the brackets. I used removable rods on both ends so could take it all the way out when the swing out bars are removed. I don’t drive the car around town with the bars in.

I have to do some more research, but I don’t think that applies to this motor, where the timing cover goes over that Dow pin there’s a step in it that would not allow the dowel pin to slide out. I don’t know if they fix this in later years.
