New big money starters worth it?

I think just about everyone uses the factory mini starter.

    Which wire to power harness?

Normally battery power comes through the bulkhead harness to the ammeter then through the ammeter to a splice that connects the alternator output, the ignition switch for switched power, and the fuse block for un-switched power. When the ignition switch is on, it feeds the switched power side...

Correct kick down lokar style cable adjustment question

When I did my Lokar kickdown, the outer cable sheath was too long and limited how much I could adjust the kickdown. I removed the inner cable and cut the outer sheath an inch shorter then re-installed the inner cable. Not sure if that is your problem, it was just something I ran into along time ago.

440 Oil Pan to Match Milodon 32000 Windage Tray

With the molded windage tray pan gasket, I haven't had issues with it, but some have had leaks. I noticed the molded seals narrow towards the center after going around the bolt holes, and that the oil pan stamping used to stiffen the rail between the bolt holes might be so wide the seal goes...

    Milwaukee Packout System?

Well, I thought I'd save a few bucks and ordered the toolbox off Amazon. It showed up damaged from shipping, so I had to send it back. Should have just picked it up at Home Depot.

    Axle & Diff Rebuild Time

If you only do the axle bearings, no need to mess with the diff. Backlash is an easy adjustment on the 8-3/4" the carrier has screw adjusters in the caps. The correct spanner tool makes the job easy, but it is not necessary. Preload should be OK if you don't remove the pinion and yoke. If you...

440 Oil Pan to Match Milodon 32000 Windage Tray

The low profile 7 quart pan should clear the windage tray, but sits an inch or so below the K-member. On street engines I usually use the reproduction hemi oil pan and the Plastic JEGs windage tray/pan gasket ($50). https://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/502001/10002/-1?_br_psugg_q=windage+tray Not...

Have you had torque converter bolts come loose?

Never had them come loose and I don't use locktite on them either. I just tighten them 90+ degrees to engine rotation to get them tight without spinning the engine.

    Axle & Diff Rebuild Time

I think a big part depends on what tools you have. For replacing the bearings you are going to need a press to install them at a minimum. If you are going to rebuild the diff, I would get a yoke holding / puller tool. The Raytech 18002 is affordable. Ratech 18002 Ratech Combination Pinion...

    Milwaukee Packout System?

Thanks. One thing I found that works well for moving boxes and other dry storage are the cardboard comic book / magazine boxes that have the hand holes on the sides and cardboard lids. The handles and size work great for smaller moving and storage boxes. I used to get them at wholesale when my...

    Milwaukee Packout System?

I think I'm going to get the basic 3 box rolling set that's already $320. Maybe Santa can get me the radio, or slide out drawers for Christmas :)

    Milwaukee Packout System?

I have several of the clear plastic containers with the hinged lids for storing some stuff, but the bottom of one broke out. I also have several of these 26 bin organizer containers...

    Milwaukee Packout System?

Thank. Just diving into this and found there are many versions. I am looking to organize a bunch of electrical / electronic tools. MultiMeters, Oscilloscope, crimpers, strippers, terminals, wire, shrink tubing, heat gun, soldering station, helping hands, and such. Right now I have the stuff...

What's it Worth 1969 Coronet on eBay

I haven't looked at prices in awhile, but I thought $15K would be mostly a roller needing just about everything?
