    440 Source rotating assembly

You can use different pistons. You need to make sure the piston pin size is correct for the rods you have. If the new pistons are a different weight it will throw off the balance, so the assembly might need to be rebalanced.

    motor mount choices

I removed the engine bracket, bolted the motor mount to the bracket and then drilled a 3/8" hole through both the mount and bracket. Countersunk the motor mount side for a flat head cap screw, and then used a locking nut on the engine bracket side, and allowed about 0.010" clearance between the...

    Is This A Mopar Switch?

If spring loaded and rests in the center and can be moved both front and back it is a convertible top switch for cars with the rallye dash option. If it just switches without returning to center, then rear defrost for rallye dash option. The standard dash has a place for a rocker switch for...

    Right stuff brakes.

I really need to find a place that makes custom length cables. First, the rear brake cables I am using are the factory replacement drum cables, not the cables that come in the "kit". The main difference in length is where the cable would have gone into the drum backing plate to where the cable...

    A secondary temp sensor location on a 383 4bbl???

I used the Dakota Digital fan controller (the older version without bluetooth). I was able to just tap into the factory sending unit wire and the controller can be calibrated to work with any sensor. I'm don't know if it works with the factory mechanical gauge regulator? My Instrument voltage...

Get rid of the headers, right?

Sounds like 16 year old me. Cheap headers, the Thrush round straight through mufflers and long home made leaf spring shackles on the '67 Coronet with a 318, 284/0.484" Mopar purple cam, a used Edelbrock Streetmaster intake, and Super Shops "new"/rebuilt Holley 600 4-bbl.

Are you ready for a real weird one? Random NO spark from a MP electronic ignition system despite numerous parts swapped around...

55 year old wiring, what could go wrong  I bought new harnesses for the Coronet Convertible. The corrosion in the bulkhead connect for the headlight circuit caused the crimp to heat up and become loose. Headlights would work for a few minutes, the contact crimp would heat up and loose...

Got this E-Mail Alert This Morning, **Not Mine**, 1969 Coronet R/T for Sale

Nice paint job . Lately I though the prices of the cars have been going up, and really it's mostly inflation.

    Boris7k’s ‘69 Coronet project.

Nice Coronet. I really like the 500 trim and lower blackout. See the dreaded intake not fitting problem. On my decked 451 engine with B-1 B/S heads and M1 intake, I had to take 0.100" off both sides of the intake.

    Vapor Return lines

I thought 440s and Hemi, but it is a good upgrade to prevent vapor lock. Put 3/8" supply with a 5/16" return for EFI on the Coronet. Used the Spectra CR9CFI fuel tank with internal fuel pump. Amazon is showing 1 for $468.82 + $65 shipping. Out of stock at Summit and a few other places on a search?

    Chrysler Connector Housings

That interesting. Could they do the power window switch connectors too?

Trouble picking off-the-shelf torque converter for street SB/727

I did a quick search for converter rebuilders in your area, and looks like there is a place called Oregon Torque Converter (541)741-0859 Since your looking for close to factory high stall, they might be able to make you a semi-custom one for near the cost of a factory rebuilt one. Some places...

Get rid of the headers, right?

The old small block headers that ran under the left tie rod would put most people against headers. They were just too low and quickly became smashed and leaking. The Big block headers I have used didn't have that problem, and then TTI and a few others started making better fitting small block...
