Joe Suchy has it. Comes in a roll and has to be cut to size. I used plywood strips to simulate the glass for gluing. Don't get crazy with the amount of glue.

Do you mean chrome trim? Mine was so rusty I cleaned it up and painted it. Rechrome was quoted to me as about $95 per piece! That was 15 years ago.

The piece that holds the weather strip has a strip of thin foam between it and the roof. It is adjustable in and out and it is trial by fire to get it in the sweet spot. Is the glass adjusted properly? If so it will help get the position correct. What are you doing for the weather strip? Is it...

I had to use this type caulk in new construction. It will fill a large gap and I believe it will work for you. Building/fire codes can be pretty tough so I think you can trust this product.
Maybe a ejection seat triggered by a heat/ flame sensor would be more exciting. Especially in a hardtop!

My answers do not refer to OEM restorations (much more advanced systems exist today).
#1: I like to build my own.
#2: The OEM bulkhead connector is fine with OEM electrical loads. With vastly increased loads, I would use a grommet.
#3: The better wire today should not have soy-based insulation...
