  • Hello,
I saw you and another guy going back and forth over a steering column question...that thread is several years old now but I was wondering if you could help with my question.
I have a 1966 Coronet and am rebuoilding the steering column. The little orange gear selector needle is what I'm struggling with. Can't seem to figure out how to mount it without it rubbing, binding, etc.

Man, it's been a long time working on one but, it seemed to me that the indicator went over the arced range sweep. Does it clip on?

Yes, it is just a clip on little piece...I'm probably mis-orienting. That is most likely.

...and it does go over the arc as you mentioned.
    Mike,

Saw your wooden engine cradle for your big block mopar. I need to make one while i repair my stand. Do you happen to know the dimensions you used? I looked through old threads but couldn’t find it.

I can't find the dimensions in my files but, it just has to support the oil pan flange so that will get you the inside dimensions and will determine the base dimensions. Be sure to cut out the front for oil filter clearance.
