I’ve had the same problem, except my car would stall while driving. After an hour or so of sitting it would start right up. Very frustrating at times to the point of where I stoped driving the car. Thinking something was getting hot and not making a connection somewhere in the distributor...
Update-adjust the front floats and got the car to idle. Then when it warmed up idle speed jumped up to 1100rpm, backed down the idle screw with no effect. Gasket on the needle seat assembly is old and hard, so thinking that might be letting fuel by thus increasing RPM. I’ll replace the gaskets...
Hi everyone, upgraded my fuel system today to remove a home made fuel rail on my 67 coronet with a 440 with 870 Holly Street Avenger.
Here’s what I upgraded
Installed new Carter Fuel Pump M6903
Installed new Comp Cams push rod with chromoly tip, mine was measuring at 3.05”.
Upsized fuel line...
Just did this on a 67 Coronet.

Remove torsion bar
Remove lower control arm
Remove driver side header, try doing it with out removing the header first.

update, unplugged the jumper on the BR and took it out for a quick 5 min drive. Came home and pulled in the garage to check and top off the tranny fluid while the car was idiling in N then it dies and won’t fire back up.
Took some readings with the key on
Battery-12.26v
BR is at 11.26 & 6.8...
Coil instructions are stating to by pass BR when running a MSD box or run a BR if running points style ignition. Think the ECU substitutes MSD box. We’ll that got pretty hot, now I’m here seeking advice…
