3d printing dash knobs for my '67 Belvedere

I did try tinkercad a while back and forgot about it this time around. I use the free version of Fusion 360 and it seems overwhelming at times. I have read that pla is not the right material for vehicles due to the distortion factor in heat, I'd be interested to know if PETG works.

Thanks, but my "level" is hack at best. I did some searching on how to get to that shape, there's a lot of good tutorials out there. If I get this better, I'll keep you posted.

Yeah, in PLA as proof of concept. I know someone with a resin printer so might hit them up once I've got it dialed in.

Being the cheapskate that I am, an not too picky, I decided that I would like to try to match some radio knobs to the factory ones in the dash (turns out my wiper knob is missing, as is my radio and knobs). Taking some photos, bad measurements (ruler/eyeball), I tried my hand at Fusion 360 to...

Poll: Did your disc brake conversion utilizing factory drum spindles turn out the way you wanted?

A long time ago, before kids, I started to collect parts for a Scarebird kit but even up parking the car for too long. Recently getting it back to where I can work on it, I priced out all the parts for it. At the same time I discovered the Invincibleextremes Musclecar kit (linked previously)...

    Too much total timing

Not sure where I saw this (either on this board or some others), but you can make your own plate (see photos; can't recall who or where this was posted to give proper credit) or weld slots to size using this chart for the max advance: dist. degrees / slot size / crank degrees = 2xdist. degrees...

    Replacement wheel studs help.

Thanks for the replies and sorry to hijack this thread. What did you use for front studs, as that's where I'm struggling.

    Replacement wheel studs help.

Don and Kern, Dorman shows those have a .684 knurl diameter, did you have to open the existing hole up at all or did they just press in?

    Replacement wheel studs help.

My struggle with studs has led me to start with Dorman 610-080: 1/2-20, 0.625" knurl, 1 & 15/16" long. Good length, but the studs were loose after drawing them in. So, stepping up to 0.630" knurl, I found Dorman 610-519: 1/2-20, 0.629" (or 0.630" some others have listed), 2.22". Still a good...
