    1968 & 72 440HP VIN help

Thank you! This pretty much answers my question. That 68 440 now lives in my Sport Satellite. Any clue on the 72 HP440? A google search said Newmark produced B and C Bodies. Figured a Roadrunner, Polara, or Fury would get a HP?

    1968 & 72 440HP VIN help

Hey guys, I haven’t posted in a while, finally got around to doing some more investigating of my 440HP blocks to try to understand where they came from and if I can find out what car they came in. Can someone explain to me how to decode them? Ive read the letter can determine the plant, so...

Alignment issues - QA1 Camber bolts

I had a photo of it, but can’t seem to find it now. Had two guys working on it together on the rack, doing all they could to get it back to zero camber. But as I recall, the harder they tried to fix it, the caster would get messed up? Or vice versa? I was watching the whole process and he...

Alignment issues - QA1 Camber bolts

My thoughts was maybe the Qa1 eccentric bolts had larger washer to give more adjustment? I could be completely wrong though.

Alignment issues - QA1 Camber bolts

Hey guys, Needing a little help here or suggestions. My 68 Satellite has been to the alignment shop 3 times now since rebuilding the suspension and replacing all bushings. Car continues to eat front tires on the inside tread. My local shop has spent a lot of time on the rack trying like hell...

    A833 identification

Thank you for taking the time to break that down for me. Never gotten to take one apart to see for myself. Question, if this trans came out of a B/E body, what is the difference for A-body other than shifter locations? Is there any size/length difference? Could it be put into an A-body?

    A833 identification

Could you dumb this down for me? I’ve never installed a 4 speed and not even close to knowing all the necessary order of components in install. What is the purpose of this pilot bearing and bushing? Im trying to visualize everything to understand what parts are working together.

    A833 identification

I haven’t counted it yet. So 23 is small block and 18 is big block? I don’t know anything about these hardly.

    A833 identification

Hey guys, Picked up what I believe to be a 1970 4-speed, but I don’t know what it came out of, or if it’s possible to identify that. The photos below is all I’ve taken so far. Just curious if its identifiable by the ID pad. It shifts thru all gears smoothly and clean inside. My buddy has had...

    Starter Removal with (Hooker?) headers

I would have gladly removed the header to save me some time and headache. I had already drained the coolant. But you see, thanks to the studs, not bolts, the header couldn’t be removed because the studs are so long that the header is trapped against the steering column upon attempted removal. I...

    Starter Removal with (Hooker?) headers

Well for anyone that cares to know or is following along the post, the final results of these (Summit?) Headers, I could not remove the starter in one piece. I disassembled it inside the header into 3 pieces. I couldn’t install the new 440 Source mini starter either. Tried from below, tried...

    Starter Removal with (Hooker?) headers

I have 5 studs and 1 bolt on cylinder 3 for some reason. I took it out to try to remove header, and spilled coolant everywhere. Not sure why I'm missing a stud.
