The paint is the strange 1966 Poly metallic gold or citron gold for plymouth. It has a good deal of green in it but looks different depending on light. Also, the paint is pretty oxidized.
I have the original build sheet, certi card, manual, etc for the car that I can share at some point.
Thanks guys. I would like to do some mild upgrades at first and brakes are on the list once I get it all cleaned up. Luckily no one messed with the paint so while it is dull it is not all polished away.
It still shows appropriate wear for 55 year old paint job but should clean up and be...
Haven't been on for a while but I now have a reason! I just bought an all original 66 Coronet with 35K miles. Not sure my exact plans for it, but it currently runs and drives really nice with a 318 Poly and 727.
Might just clean it up for now and cruise. I've got a 68 440 sitting in the...
Hey guys, I haven't been on for a while mainly because I sold the car I am inquiring about. I just purchased a '66 Coronet so I am back in the game!
However I would like to know if anyone has run across my old 68 Plymouth Satellite sport. Original red paint with white interior. Factory 383...
The car was on ebay but the buyer fell through so it never sold, that is why the posting is still up. However it did sell locally this weekend. I posted this car on the B body forum first but no one acted, I apologize for any confusion with ebay, but if there was anybody serious they should...
Guys, I also have the truck pictured below for sale. I bought a replacement truck so now I have waaay too many vehicles! The truck is a 4spd automatic,, 2wd, cummins turbo diesel from Indiana. Very, Very clean. Small hole in the driver side rocker, but besides that the rest of the truck is...
Thanks Jeremiah, I thought so too that why I bought it! I should just go ahead with my initial plans and put in my '68 440 that's sitting on the stand and convert it to a 4 spd, throw some steelies on it and call it a day.
No I don't, I could take more if you would like. The seats are coming apart at the seams in several places. They look ok but would need replaced if somebody was looking to restore.
I honestly think the car is cool as it sits, it's all original shows some wear. After going to the mopar...
I bought this car last year from the 2nd owner who bought it from the original owner. I have a picture of the old title before I had it notarized showing the same last name on the certicard as the title. This car spent the majority of it's life in southern KY, near Tennessee.
The car had been...
Yeah I really did luck out. The car is remarkably solid. No patchwork or body repair done and the only real crusty areas are very slightly around the rear wheel lips and the trunk drip rail. Besides that its solid as a rock. The car sat in a garage since 1979 and still wears the plate. Somebody...
Thanks for all the information. The hood is not original to the car, the original was tweaked too badly which you can see the grill has taken an impact. The color of the hood is not the same though it is hard to see from the pictures. Pretty close though.
The car is original paint, I am 100%...
I guess that makes more sense since the GTX is based on the higher trim satellite as opposed to the belvedere. I am seeing a couple conflicting answers about what 383's were available for 68. Mine was a factory 4bbl, 10:1 compression car with the hp style exhaust manifolds but no HP stamped...
I am new to the forum and I am putting together an original paint, numbers matching 68 satellite sport that hasn't been on the road since '79. I drove it the other day for the first time and besides the complete lack of suspension it drove pretty good.
My question is, what exactly is the...
