I was in my early teens when this event happened I live just over the border from South Dakota in Wyoming. I heard a few of the wings car actually went through Upton and they stopped because one needed a mirror I believe. I missed out on seeing the cars and I was so bummed since I was a wing car...
Hopefully next weekend I will have the nose assembled and on the car again. Then I’ll be installing the headliner and vinyl top. I hope to have the car on the road in about two months.
I’ve always wanted a lemon twist superbird so this one will definitely go back to factory but I would love to build a clone pro touring style bird or a NASCAR style bird.
Awesome!! Looks very nice, hopefully with my extra wing parts I’ll build a clone or save a rough bird if I find one. I love blue mopars so I think it would look good. I sold my B5 blue charger to get my bird
Awesome! What color is your clone, do you live in the black hills area? I live in Gillette so I’m sure I’ll make it to one of the Mopar shows In Rapid at some point.
First picture is how it looked when I bought the car. The car never had its wing on it when the previous owner had it so it’s been off since the late 70’s!
