want big tube headers on my 66 coronet

I installed Hooker Super Comps 1 3/4" 3" collector on my '67 w/ 440 auto. What a PITA. Did install in driveway; took 2 eight hour days for install. Had the car way off the ground and had to undo motor mounts. Ironically, passenger side slid in easy; driver side was an issue b/c of tight fit...

Rebuild Kit for auto trans floor shifter

A couple of years ago, Mopar Action ran an article on how to rebuild the auto floor shifter, and it stated a p/n for the rebuild kit. I've been unsuccessful in my search for this kit. I know longer have the MA edition article to reference. When I do an internet search, I get rebuild trans...

looking for headers, with ease of installation

When I installed headers about 15+ years on my 440 b-body, I went ahead & installed a "mini-starter". Turns out "mini-starters" in the 90's are from Dodge Dakotas. Definitely smaller & lighter then OEM unit. Dakota starter bolted-up, is still there, not captured by the headers.

Yes, You Can Tell A Firm Feel PS Box From an OEM Box Just By Looking

I sent my chuck to Firm Feel and requested the Stage 3. Steering has the modern car feel. FF rebuilt the innards of my chuck; the one I sent them is the one I got back.

    Headlight Conversion - Coronet

An easy fix to brighten headlights is use relays & take power from alternator. Did this a few years ago following instructions from Daniel Stern @ danielsternlighting.com. Bought the relays @ the local auto parts place.

Is Your B-Body Mopar Matching Numbers?

Well, my '67 GTX has a '69 GTX motor in it; close enough. At least the motor stayed in the family. Radiator is from a '70 Ply w/ 383 & a/c, but hey it cools the water. The rest belongs to the car. Stating the obvious, I don't believe many of us back in the day saw these cars as collectibles...

    '67 b-body hood interchange

Have thought about fiberglass route, but wanted to see if I could track down a metal hood. Slim pickings out there, but the search continues. Thanks for input.

    '67 b-body hood interchange

Chignikred- understand your point. Looking for functionality, perfect match is secondary. YY1 & aeon280, thanks for the reply. Ok, next question. How likely is it to find a decent 66-67 Satellite or Belvedere hood?

    '67 b-body hood interchange

I've a '67 GTX. Need to know what year(s) and model(s) will interchange with my hood. Want another hood to install a hood scoop and do not want to cut up my original hood. Did a search here on FBO, but only got a hit on a '71 station wagon.

    Fan to radiator clearance question

I'd go with a 1". 1/2 to 3/4" too close; motor mounts have some wiggle in them. Shroud will be a big improvement on cooling, especially in traffic.

    Help with a 67 GTX

Had 255/60/15 mounted on 15x8 4.5" backspace magnum rims for the rear. Tires were a pita to put on and take-off. Had to let the air out of the tire, jack the car up to "stretch" the suspension, and tire still had to be wrestled off. Not only that, on sharp turns, especially with a load...

Recommend machine shop Houston/Pasadena, Texas area

Mike 67- going with Houston Engine & Balance. The chambers will get cc'd; heads disassembled for quality control and touched-up (if needed); mill the heads to get compression up (dependent on how far the pistons are in the hole). Looking @ about $500-600 for the job. No major setbacks...

Recommend machine shop Houston/Pasadena, Texas area

Mike67-thanks for the recommendations. Houston Engine and Balance is a stone's throw from the house. They did some manifold work for me a few years ago. Agree about Mopar expertise. Will look into Faerman's.

Recommend machine shop Houston/Pasadena, Texas area

Just purchased a set of 440 source heads. Am looking for a machine shop in my area that has experience with these heads. Not looking for overkill machine work. Want heads disassembled for quality inspection; cc combustion chamber; mill heads to raise compression, if needed; change out valve...

Opinions Wanted - Black or Blue Interior

I'd go with blue for a practical reason. My '67 GTX has a black interior, but I'm changing it out to blue. Too hot in Texas for a black interior!
