I made my own recently as well, but I did not tape them down after I tucked it in (did rears). I have not put the doors back together yet, so will do that on the doors any day. Thanks for the tip.
I just pulled mine out of a 69 Charger, painted them up. Mine are different heights s you can see for inner versus outer, painted them up and ready to go back in.

So I could not find item number for these from Legendary and mine feel like they have the pins pushed over, nothing detected under the cushion at all. Pushing the new one in, can push the pins over ok?

I removed my rear upper panels for 69 Charger. They both have a stainless trim and whiskers/window felt (weatherstrip) stapled in place.
My new Legendary upper pads have no pre-drilled holes, nor these whiskers, trim etc.
I could not locate to buy new trim and whiskers/felt, and would prefer...
The nuts works great after much frustration! Pic per request. I am not done making adjustments to get this aligned, that is a new challenge as it fits very tight on both sides of teh lid.
I ended up getting this resolved, I used Nyloc nuts and works great!
I did have to modify the slots with a rat tail file to elongate the holes on the hinge to get this aligned, almost done getting it squared away.
